What value does Creative Systems for Education add?
While consultancy models are popular in many career fields, the concept of consulting and its purpose can still seem vague.
CSE’s consultancy model centers on two central missions: (1) supporting the experiences of K-12 neurodivergent students, and (2) designing creative systems for predictable problems. When you transform predictable problems into sustainable solutions, you transform everything.
Below is a list of the value and outcomes CSE provides as a part of their consulting model: for schools, families, and the community. While this is not an exhaustive list, it is a starting place to give you an idea of the kinds of systems we can create together.
For Schools
Predictable Problems: Limited resources and time, educator exhaustion, documentation duplications, process confusion, compliance challenges, scheduling conflicts…
Our Outcomes: Optimizing team roles, creating calendaring protocols and protected time slots, designing documentation templates for continuity, creating landing pages plus other intuitive document locations, consolidation of MTSS/special education process to match resources and individual school needs, and more.
For Families
Predictable Problems: Getting out the door for school, keeping track of school supplies, getting homework done, bedtime struggles, chores, emotional dysregulation/meltdowns, misinformation about neurodivergence…
Our Outcomes: Creating neurodiverse-friendly zones to make organization a family mission, implementing homework systems for your child that utilize effective school accommodations and practices for continuity, family-centered strategies to encourage and celebrate literacy/reading at home, education about the neurodivergent nervous system with strategies that build regulation and resiliency, designing visual/kinesthetic systems for chores/routines/getting out the door/bedtime that increase your child’s independence and confidence, and utilizing a strengths-first approach to understanding your child’s neurodiversity, and how best to support their growth and well-being.
For the Community
Predictable Problems: Community professionals often do not receive adequate training about neurodiversity or strategies that can help.
Our Outcomes: Providing coaching to staff on scenario-based challenges to design solutions that are sustainable to implement, and applicable in future situations. Offering tips on family/child communication that ensure an affirming and inclusive experience for their K-12 neurodivergent clients.
